Professional Insulation Services

We Offer Residential & Commercial Insulation Installation, Upgrades, Removal & Sprayfoam

At C&K Fibertech we are professionals who offer residential and commercial insulation services. Our expert staff can install all kinds of insulation based on your requirements. We install sprayfoam and sprayfoam fireproofing, batt and poly, blanket wrap, and blown insulation for new builds, or will remove and upgrade your existing insulation in your space.

A well insulated home will keep you comfortable as our Canadian temperatures change. Proper insulation also helps to save on energy bills, as it prevents heat from escaping in the winter and keeps your home cool in the summer. Improperly sealed and insulated windows and doors are common sources of drafts. Inadequate insulation in your walls, ceilings and floors also allow for outside temperatures to come inside.

As insulation professionals, we assess your insulation needs before determining the best insulating solution for you. A home energy audit can show us where heat is escaping and the areas that need the most attention. These thermal scans save you money in the long run, and ensure that the job is performed properly. Hiring an insulation professional is an investment in your home, and can help prevent future repairs. We are also able to get you the best deals on supplies, and offer warranties and guarantees.

Spray foam is widely used to insulate commercial and residential buildings, seal cracks and gaps, and can be applied to spaces that are hard to insulate otherwise. It is waterproof and mold resistant, and is an airtight insulating option. Spray foam is made up of two chemicals, isocyanate and poly resin. These chemicals are mixed using a spray foam machine, and once applied they expand up to 30-60 times their liquid volume, resulting in a well-insulated space. Consider a spray foam insulation installation.

Our supplier

At C&K Fibertech, we use Genyk spray foam. Genyk is a leader in the manufacturing of environmental and thermally efficient spray foam. Their product comes in a variety of spray foam densities which protect against air, vapour, and radon. Our experts at C&K Fibertech choose Genyk’s Boreal Nature Elite sprayfoam as it can be used for most projects and is proudly Canadian made.

DC315 Fire Retardant Paint

We offer a fireproofing paint application to spray foam installations. DC315 is a coating that is applied to Sprayed Polyurethane Foam (SPF) after installation. It provides a 15-minute alternative thermal barrier/ ignition barrier when a traditional barrier isn’t being used (drywall, stone, etc). This allows spray foam applications to meet Canadian Building Code requirements, no matter where spray foam is installed.

Batt & Poly is one of the most recognizable forms of insulation. It can be installed in ceilings, walls and floors. Batt & Poly is fast and safe to install, and provides an excellent R-Value when installed properly. Flat pieces of insulation (batts) are cut and fitted between wood or metal studs, joists and beams to entirely fill the space. A vapor barrier (poly) is also installed to prevent moisture from entering the home. Batt & Poly is installed in unfinished walls, as working around drywall can be difficult. In the case of existing walls, blown insulation could be considered.

Our supplier

At C&K Fibertech we use Owens Corning® PINK NEXT GEN™ FIBERGLAS® Insulation for our batt & poly installations. This product provides excellent thermal control, and will not settle or slump in wall cavities. It is non-combustible, lightweight, non-corrosive, and has less dust than other fibreglass insulation products. This product is also free from phenol-formaldehyde, perlite and vermiculite free.

Blown insulation can be used in a variety of locations including attics, ceilings, walls and floors. It is quick to install, energy efficient and provides thermal comfort, and can reduce acoustics. Blown Insulation is an alternative to batt & poly. A bag of expanding blown-in insulation is pushed into an insulation blowing machine which blows the insulation into a space through a long hose. The hose operator makes sure that the insulation is evenly distributed and reaches the required depth.

Our supplier

At C&K Fibertech we use Owens Corning® ProPINK FIBERGLAS® Loosefill Insulation for our blown insulation. This product is high quality, and the commercial pneumatic equipment we use to install the insulation allows us to cover an attic in as little as two hours. Because the insulation expands inside the machine, there is little dust, and it provides easy cleanup.

Blanket Wrap

Blank wrap is a roll of fibreglass insulation that can be installed in a continuous sheet, ensuring no thermal breaks. It is ideal for basement walls and areas with few obstacles. Many blanket wrap insulations are single-faced, with the poly vapor barrier already attached, which allows for an even faster install.

Attic Upgrades

Though one of the least used spaces in a home, a properly insulated attic is essential for preventing heat loss and saving on energy costs. Older attics are often badly insulated, and can cost homeowners long-term. At C&K Fibertech we perform attic insulation upgrades. We offer insulation removal for old, damaged or hazardous insulation and replace it with a new high-quality product. Blown insulation is an excellent choice for insulation where the floor of the attic can be used. Batt & poly with foam baffles can be used if the rafters require insulating.

Insulation Removal

Any insulation that is old, damaged or low quality should be removed and replaced in your home or business for optimal heat retention. Asbestos can be found in some vermiculite-based insulation which was used to insulate before the 1990s. As asbestos can cause health concerns when disturbed, this needs to be taken into consideration when renovating. Insulation with asbestos should only be handled by professionals who are trained to deal with it.

At C&K we have years of experience with insulation removal. Our professional team will safely remove and properly dispose of your old insulation and replace it with new high-quality products.
